Our Story

We started in 1981, supplying fencing to construction and utility companies, expanding into steelwork in 2006 with the arrival of Jamie McLoughlin and Dan Sleeman. Together, they successfully grew our steelwork company, SFC Midlands alongside our fencing company, Syston Fencing, building a loyal client base and resilient supply chain for both.

We are proud to have achieved 40 years of trading, with a strong team that has grown with us. Jamie and Dan are still hands-on and leading from the front, developing the nationwide, steelwork engineering business we have today. Staying true to our roots, we continue to provide a comprehensive range of security fencing alongside our steelwork services.

Sustainability and Environment

Our path to carbon reduction:

We are fully committed to reducing our carbon footprint in line with the government target of achieving net zero by 2050.

Currently working towards ISO14001:2015 certification during 2022, we have started our path to carbon reduction from where we are now to where we would like to be in 1 year, 5 years and 10 years time.

We have an environment management team who meet weekly

We have calculated our carbon footprint and set our targets

We are purchasing sustainably certified materials where we can

We are reducing transport miles by improving our purchasing and planning

We are re-using and re-cycling where we can

We have started to incorporate sustainability principles in our processes
